The Opera Music Theater Institute is an educational institution of higher learning dedicated to the training of exceptional young singers in preparation for professional careers in the opera and music theater fields.
Established in 1991, the Opera Music Theater Institute plays a vital role in the artistic development of gifted young singers by offering a structured two year certificate program for professional artist training designed to encourage the highest standards of creativity, musicality, and artistry.
The Professional Artist Training Program provides individual attention to the singers' specific needs under the guidance of a faculty composed of highly skilled professional artists in an apprenticeship approach to learning.
The Opera Music Theater Institute's success is demonstrated by the way our singers represent our program as professional artists performing with major international and national opera and music theater companies.

SINGING ON STAGE Singers learnthe necssary vocal exercises for maintaining good vocal technique. Emphasis is placed on vocal warmups that increase the range, quality, and carrying power of the voice. |
ACTING FOR SINGERS Singers develop the ability to approach a song as an acting scene or monologue. Particular attention is paid to the music and text in exercises designed to free the body and the voice. |

SINGING PROFESSIONALLY Singer address techniques on presenting themselves as capable, well-trained profesionals. Emphasis is placed on resumes, photographs, audition tapes and management. |
SINGERS' PERFORMANCE POWER Singers apply advanced techniques of performing for auditions, concerts, and role development. Guarentees winning auditions, rave reviews, and memorable performances. |
